Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern use of Yevly and Yevly Resume. By creating an account, continuing through Google or Apple account creation, purchasing credits, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old, located in the United States, able to form a binding agreement, and using the service for yourself or with authority from the person whose materials you submit.

2. The service

Yevly Resume provides guided résumé creation and automated résumé editing assistance based on facts, documents, and optional job listings supplied by the user. It can organize and professionally reword customer-supplied facts, ask focused clarification questions, identify supported skills, improve wording, organization, readability, ATS alignment, and emphasis, and generate résumé documents while attempting to preserve the truth. A target job is optional when creating a general résumé. Yevly is not a recruiter, employer, law firm, employment agency, or professional career adviser.

3. Truthfulness and user review

Yevly is designed not to invent employers, dates, titles, qualifications, skills, certifications, responsibilities, metrics, or accomplishments. It may organize or professionally reword a fact and may identify a skill that is directly supported by customer-provided evidence, but it does not independently verify every customer statement. A clarification question or a bare affirmative answer does not by itself establish a qualification; Yevly requires supporting detail before adding a clarified fact. AI, speech-recognition, and document-processing systems can still make mistakes.

Before résumé generation, Yevly provides controls to review, correct, delete, and approve captured facts. You must review submitted speech-to-text, captured facts, and every result. You remain responsible for the accuracy, legality, and suitability of materials you submit to Yevly or an employer.

The Job Match Score measures alignment with the supplied job listing. It is not a prediction or guarantee of an interview, employment, compensation, promotion, or any hiring outcome.

4. Accounts and security

Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in methods, and notify Yevly promptly of suspected compromise. Yevly may require email verification, recent authentication, bot verification, or multi-factor authentication for sensitive activity. You may not share, sell, or transfer account access or credits.

5. Your content

You retain the rights you hold in uploaded content and facts, answers, and corrections you submit through the résumé builder or clarification flow. As between you and Yevly, and subject to applicable law and third-party rights, Yevly does not claim ownership of a generated result delivered to you. AI-assisted wording may not qualify for intellectual-property protection, may not be unique, and similar wording may be generated for others.

You grant Yevly a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, store, structure, parse, scan, organize, transform, validate, generate, back up, and deliver your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the service. You represent that you have the authority to provide the content and that it does not violate another person's rights.

6. Credits and pricing

Yevly Resume uses one-time credits, not an MVP subscription. Current packages are 1 credit for $4.99, 3 credits for $9.99, and 10 credits for $29.99, plus any applicable tax disclosed by Stripe Checkout.

Answering résumé-builder or clarification questions, reviewing or correcting facts, previewing a résumé, and experimenting with design settings do not themselves consume a credit. One successfully unlocked optimization consumes one credit exactly once. Purchased credits do not expire merely because time passes. They may be used only through the purchasing user's active account while Yevly Resume is available, are non-transferable, are not currency, a bank account, or a stored-value wallet, and have no cash-redemption value except where applicable law requires otherwise. Re-downloading or regenerating an already unlocked result does not consume another credit.

7. Checkout, service delivery, and refunds

Stripe processes payments. Credits are added only after Yevly verifies a signed payment event. A Checkout redirect alone is not proof of payment. Failed or cancelled Checkout sessions do not add credits.

Credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Purchased credits do not expire merely because time passes, but they can be used only while the purchasing account is active and Yevly Resume is available. Yevly does not promise cash refunds for unused or used credits, changes of mind, accidental purchases, inactivity, voluntary account deletion, or account disablement, except where applicable law requires a refund.

If Yevly verifies that a technical issue prevented delivery of a service purchased with a credit—including final failure of either required PDF or DOCX output—Yevly will restore the affected credit once or provide the missing service. A restored credit is a service remedy, not a cash refund. Any refund required by applicable law or resulting from a Stripe dispute, reversal, or verified duplicate-payment or processor correction is processed through the original payment method and reconciled against the credit ledger without creating a negative balance.

The Credit and Refund Policy at /refund-policy is incorporated into these Terms. If the two documents appear inconsistent, these Terms control unless applicable law requires otherwise.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use Yevly to fabricate or knowingly misrepresent experience, qualifications, credentials, references, metrics, or other material facts.
• Upload malware, executable content, unlawfully obtained documents, or content that violates privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or other rights.
• Probe or bypass security, ownership checks, rate limits, payment controls, access restrictions, or locked-content protections.
• Use automated bulk processing, scrape the service, resell access, share download links, or use Yevly for employer-side screening or unlawful discrimination.
• Interfere with the service, impersonate another person, use stolen payment methods, or use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.

9. Yevly property

Yevly's software, branding, scoring methodology, interfaces, templates, and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant rights to use Yevly trademarks or copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the service except where applicable law does not permit that restriction.

10. Availability and changes

The service, including optional microphone input, may be delayed, limited, unsupported by a particular browser or device, or unavailable because of maintenance, security response, provider outages, legal requirements, or technical limits. Typed input remains available when microphone input is unsupported. Yevly may change features, providers, limits, and future prices prospectively. Price changes do not reduce credits already purchased. Yevly will provide appropriate notice of material commercial or privacy changes.

11. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may request permanent account deletion in Settings. Deletion immediately ends access to the account and unused credits; it does not convert credits to cash. Eligible private content, including eligible résumé-builder and clarification content, is deleted under the Privacy Policy, while required payment, credit-ledger, tax, dispute, policy-acceptance, and security evidence may be retained in minimized form.

Yevly may disable access for fraud, abuse, security threats, payment disputes, legal requirements, or a material violation of these Terms. While an account is disabled, its credits cannot be used, but Yevly does not deduct or expire credits merely because of the disablement. If access is restored, the reconciled balance remains available. Any permanent termination and treatment of unused credits remain subject to applicable law; these Terms do not promise cash redemption.

If Yevly permanently discontinues Yevly Resume, Yevly will, where reasonably possible, provide advance notice and a limited opportunity to use remaining credits or receive the purchased service. Emergencies, provider failures, security events, or legal requirements may make advance notice impossible. A cash refund is provided only where applicable law requires it.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yevly is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free transcription or output, fitness for a particular job, or employment results. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that applicable law does not permit Yevly to exclude.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yevly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost employment opportunities, profits, data, or goodwill. Yevly's total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Yevly during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Governing law and disputes

Washington State law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your state provides non-waivable consumer protections. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through support may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Clark County, Washington, unless applicable law gives you another right. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive a right to participate in a class action.

15. Changes and contact

Yevly records Terms versions and will provide appropriate notice before material changes take effect. If a change requires renewed agreement, continued paid use will be blocked until it is accepted. Use the Yevly contact page for account, billing, privacy, security, or service questions.
